i. fete de la musique
update on the status of the fete de la musique for this year: apparently, it's pushing through. fete de la musique this year will be held at the music hall of the sm mall of asia this friday, 30 June. so if anyone is interested, there ya go. i'll try to go and hopefully have fun. naku, dapat small bag ako. hrmm...
anyway, i got that info from here who got it from here. so in case this is not true, you could blame them. hehe! and if it is true, you could thank them. especially the guy mentioned in the second link, noel. :o)
ii. trust ad
when i was in australia back in '98/'99, there was a show that featured all the sexiest (sexiest nga ba? o raunchiest, basta parang ganun) tv (i think tv lang, galeng talaga my memory) ads from different countries. one ad was from, surprise, surprise, the philippines. it was an ad for trust condoms. the visuals wasn't much. it wasn't sexy at all. it was a just a woman (probably a housewife), whose head was cropped off the screen and she was beating white egg. it is accompanied by a soundtrack of a woman moaning and as she reaches her climax, the woman on the screen adds momentum to her beating. once the sounds end, a picture of trust condom is superimposed on the screen and the accompanying text is, 'we provide the protection, you provide the lubrication.' does anyone know this ad? was it ever shown in the philippines? and who made this ad?
anyway, the only other ad i remember was for this perfume, i can't recall which country it came from, most probably from so scandivanion nation, since most of the actors/models in it are blonde. anyway, in the ad, the setting was an art class. it was session for nude painting/sculpture (yeah, great memory). a cute, blond twink is the model for the art class. after stripping off his robe, in comes a woman wearing the perfume being advertised and as she passes, the model gets a whiff of her perfume and this arouses him. and everyone in the class takes notice of this much to his embarrassment. anyway, this is the only i remember since the model was cute and i had a crush on him. hehe!
iii. contacts
on certain days, for the past of three months, i've been wearing coloured prescription contacts. most everyone who'd see me wearing them liked it. a lot of them mentioned wanting to buy one. anyway, the contacts are disposable, and last saturday was the last day that i could use them. i'm still deciding whether or not i would buy a new pair. it's very handy at times when i don't want to use my glasses (especially when i'm out dancing). so yeah, for now, bye to being pretensious. hehe! i love the colour, though. it's charcoal gray and when there isn't much lighting, it's not that evident. which i like. it's cheap, too. for a pair that would last for three months, it only costs p695. it doesn't go with anything, though. like no casing and solutions. but those are cheap, too. when i bought the contacts and all the other things i needed, it only cost p1000. and other than the contacts, everything is still usable. of course i'll run out of solution, but i bought the biggest one and it's 3 in 1 so no need to buy other solutions/lubricants. by the way, the brand of the contacts is flexware and it's only available here in executive opticals, which is almost everywhere, so you won't have a problem finding one. and thanks to manesh for telling me about these contacts.

iv. awful, awful news and great, great news
the quintet is now a quartet. kevin richarson has left the backstreet boys to pursue, erm... something, anything? anyway, he's left the band and i may be the only one affected by this. but not that much. cause he was never my favourite. actually i didn't care much for the backstreet boys. although, i loved their earlier songs and some of their videos. and i know you do, too.
and in more serious news, the man who created shows, such as dynasty, melrose place, beverly hills 90210 and the holy week staple, 7th heaven, just to mention died due to complications after a stroke. i wonder how noTORIous spelling is doing? she is expecting after all, and her very generous daddy won't be there to meet his first grandchild. he was 83 and worth $300 million. i wonder who will be getting the bulk of it. anyway, it's sad that there won't be more trashy nighttime soaps. :o( at least my generation had melrose place and beverly hills, and this generation has the o.c. what will the future generations have? should the next generation even have one?
and i wish i was a beneficiary of warren buffet's generosity. it's really nice to hear this kind of stories. it just goes to show that money is not so bad and that if you're rich you are not necessarily evil. diba, oprah?
and oh, beckham is not useless, anymore.
