mount mayon, gasthoff, oettinger bier and jaeger schnitzel
ack! fugly generator layout. i do not like it at all. grrr! hopefully it's just temporary. and if anyone of you is experiencing the same thing, don't change your settings. it would automatically revert back to its previous setting. well, at least according to this.
in other news: bicol was fun, although tiring. the trip going there was pretty much uneventful. it's a shame i didn't get to bring a camera. the view of mayon is just wonderful. it's my third time there and i always get a view of the peak. just goes to show how much of a virgin i am. haha!

anyway, the most fun part about the trip is the inuman part. we ate at this german restaurant called gasthof and it has one of the best baby back ribs in the world according to cnn. and it really is good. very easy to eat and it's quite big, too. plus, it's only php 250.00. i think that's really cheap considering cnn thinks it's one of the best. we also had jaeger schnitzel (breaded porkloin) and that was good, too. and their gasthof frozen ice tea is not so bad, also. it was a good dining experience. but the best part of it all is the beer. one of our officemates recommended we try the beer. it's a german beer called oettinger.
this has an alcohol content of 4.7 (the lite has an alcohol content of 5.9). there are of course other types.
the beer set us back php 95.00 per can. but that's actually cheaper than getting a bottle of beer in a bar in metro manila, since the can is 500 ml. anyway, gasthof is touting this beer as healthy. i'm thinking it could be like the u.k.'s guiness, which according to kiera knightly is a meal in a glass (or mug, whatever suits your fancy). it might be also like our very own cervesa negra, a medicinal beer as what my know-it-all officemate said so. or it could be just like any other beer which according to most researches is good when taken once a day. whatever! i'm off tangent already. so yeah, we loved the beer a lot. even when it's not cold it tastes good. even with ice it tastes good. but of course, like most beer it's best served cold. aaaaah! anyway, if you get a chance to go to bicol or boracay and cebu (in the near future), you should check out gasthoff. :o)
