On leaving...

You know, one of the hardest parts of my trips to Ottawa is, of course, the leaving - mostly because there is nothing even remotely like what I have here, ANYWHERE else... Fredericton sucks, I won't lie, and I won't pull punches... It's pretty and it's ok for now, but it's dank, depressing and filled with people who are just so... mean spirited. Whomever said the Maritimes were friendly obviously ignored New Brunswick entirely...

In any case, I had the honour of making a new friend (maruk) who showed me some neat parts of Montreal and didn't hit me with her club-like-object when I requested some much needed cuddling (some guys need to get laid, I need to snuggle) - she's an awesome gal. I also got my bike taken care of, my NEW JEEP (:D) bought, and had a few good nights out with my friends at the Elephant and Castle as well as just bombing around in said Jeep.

I didn't even remotely get to see everyone I wanted to, it's awful - there just aren't enough hours in a day, though evilvillan_1 was nowhere to be found when I went to look for a Carleton shirt to take back with me... What made me really happy was seeing my friend Ben again (my best friend of 21 years) as many times as I did... I miss him so very much when he's not around.

I'm going to work my ass off to make sure I get top marks on the next courses I take, so that I can get my posting to Ottawa, return and continue with the life that I could have with these amazing people.

Wish me a safe trip tomorrow.
See you on the other side.
