I just had foot surgery, and my cast/pain pump weigh a TON! The foot had to be re-broken and re-set, and the pain pills are making me loopy. Sleep is evasive. I am phobic about falling and damaging my foot again. I'm already incredibly bored, only one day into a 4 week time of being on crutches.
My wife, loverocats, is recovering from food poisoning. Maytag took our diswhashwer away, and discovered that the replacement washer is broken, so we'll continue hand washing dishes for a few more days. Ugh!
On the other hand...
My trip to New England was fantastic. I love the greenery of Vermont and New Hampshire, and I found some historic sites that my ancestors were involved in--the Shaker village of Hancock, Mass., and the Battle of Bennington, Vermont. I brought back some yummy maple syrup.
My birthday was great, as I got all the gifts I wanted--lots of books, DVDs, and camera accessories. We learned a lot about Frank Lloyd Wright, visiting his Winter home/complex in Scottsdale, and went out to a cinema supper club. It was great fun!
The Chemist was kind enough to take me to my surgery, and pick me up. She and slashmuse stopped by and visited us sickies today--which was the highlight of my day. I am blessed to have true friends...I love them!
