You can be a success...blah, blah, blah.

I hear so much rhetoric about how I can "get ahead in life", "achieve your dreams", etc.

These kinds of catch-phrases always make me feel frustrated. I tried the Supervisor route, but I didn't like it much, and I don't think I was very good at it.

Aren't there any good books on success for the 90% of the world that works for someone, that isn't the big cheese? You know, success for the rest of us, or "un-leadership"?

The two works I've sampled that struck me well were "The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People" by Stephen Covey, and "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff at Work."
