Stuck in Limbo

Is it just me, or does it seem that July has been dragging on for ages?

I've been in regular contact with Julia, who will be my 'boss' of sorts when I start work at Creek Tree. She nearly freaked out upon the discovery I still didn't have a place to live (which was quite amusing to listen to, if a little horrifying). Now, apparently, the reason I got hired was because they've already had three people have to abandon the position for seemingly ridiculous reasons. Which, really, makes sense. My work experience goes as far as bartending, waitressing, answering phones, and selling people movie tickets. I have a college degree, yes, but it's not really one that can be used for much. I've already had to come crawling to my mother (who managed to keep from gloating) for money to get down (or possibly up) there. And the cost is not a light one.

Following that, I started a job at, well, hell. The building where I'm in has three rooms; a room with a desk, a phone that could very well be from 1985, a television (that doesn't get channels) and a small movie library. That's where I am. I sit in my chair, answer the phones, fill out the occasional report, and watch movies. I could've done that if I had dropped out at fifteen years old. I work from 5 in the freaking a.m. to 11 a.m., and I get "lunch" at 8.20. Starting monday, I'll be joined by Henry's daughter, Natasha. Because the job is suddenly a two person one. I usually do a bit of AIM messaging on my mobile, but I still haven't figured out how to fix it.

And then, bring on the mystery stomach aches. At the end of last month, I had just finished taking out the trash, when suddenly it felt like a bowling ball had hit my stomach at a velocity of 20 miles per minute. The only thing I could really do was lie on the couch and hope it would go away. I figured it to just be menstruation issues, but when my period ended, the mystery pains didn't. And then, two days ago, I spent about two hours getting sick, when all I had eaten all day was two slices of pizza.

I really want July to end soon.
