In neglect live journal a lot.
I'm really annoyed with work right now. So me and this guy Kevin were both hired at the same time for a one year replacement position. That means, at the end of June both of our contracts expire. Recently it was made known that there would be 2 overnight positions availible for the fall and they were supposed to post the jobs and then we'd have to be interviewed again and selected from that process. But for some reason, Kevin was offered one of the positions without any interview, which is against the rules. We're unionized, so I'm pretty sure they're not allowed to do that. That means there is now only one psoition availible, which lessens my chances of being able to come back here in the fall. It's so unfair. They did the same with jobs for painting over the summer. They posted a notice saying there would be 5 positions availible and an interview for the people that applied, but they just picked 5 people without the interview, then people complained to the union and they have to hire 3 more people through the proper process. But I don't want to complain because I don't want to lessen my chance any more of getting a job again. I mean, there's no reason they shouldn't hire me back. All the kids love me and I'm a good worker. I always go above and beyond for them here. But I'm worried that they'll either give the other position away or I just won't do well in the interview. Either way, I have a feeling that I'll have to look for a part time job after the summer.
