Fox News has gained popularity in the recent years that it has been on the air. Good for them.
But their claim to be "Fair and Balanced" is totally bogus. Fox News is the most one sided, partisan media provider in the mainstream market. It's selection of which stories to air and which to ignore paint a certain picture of the world to it's many viewers who rely on the network to get their news and who unfortunately tend to take the opinions expressed as gospel.
I say opinions because that is by far what you get when you watch Fox News. Journalists used to report the news, facts, and let you make up your own mind on the issue. Today instead of journalists we have media personalities who force feed their own views on those who have forgotten what it means to think for themselves.
Even when another viewpoint is reported it is done so in a sarcastic manner with very unprofessional rhetoric to follow, implying that this idea or action is absurd.
Of course, Fox News is free to express opinions and totally forsake journalism for propaganda but, their constant claims to being fair and balanced are misleading, detrimental to the state of public welfare and illegal.
This is state media and it should advertise itself as such.
