ok, so I'm now 100% convinced that Gabriel got the majority of Bellamy's (original) storyline.

But I'm not even mad anymore because I genuinely LIKED Gabriel.

I CRIED.

Dammit. I really was kind of hoping he could slide under the radar and stick around to continue the human race with Octavia (or Echo ((and Memori, of course)).

I'm so glad he got to be back on Earth, even if so briefly.
I'm so glad he got to play the piano, and almost share that with Madi.
I'm so glad he got to encourage Jordan to chase after Hope.
I'm so glad he got to successfully protect Madi until she could escape.

*insert: please stop not killing Sheidheda just because. Please someone end him properly.

But back to Gabriel, he grew on me really fast and I'm glad that we got to have more of him this season. He's been fun and his perspective has been fresh and interesting.

The whole episode was a card shuffle of which character would die to protect Madi and as folks began to slip away and only Gabriel was left. It was... I dunno. The oldest man alive sharing something beautiful and human with the youngest surviving girl.

I'm actually genuinely grieving and satisfied. That was a good death.

And it helped that Gabriel was ready to go. He'd lived a long life and the way he inspired the COG was genuine. It was good to see him go out on his own terms, even though I really really wanted him to make it.
