The fridge was fixed Tuesday, it just took some nagging on the part of the super. I have a brand new fridge (and brand new everything in it too).

Mum and Dad came through above and beyond what I could have asked them to, they went through their deep freeze and came up with a lot of meat that I wasn't looking forward to replacing.

Mum and I went to the grocery store tuesday afternoon to replace the condiments and stuff. The cashier couldn't believe what I was buying, because it didn't make sense, she had decided that I must have been buying for a picnic or something, ketchup and mustard, but no burgers, etc. She had a good laugh when we explained ourselves.

I'm trying to look on it as I needed to clean it out anyway, but it isn't totally working. I now have a dishwasher full of clean tupperware, so that is good. Now to refill it, and restock. Looking forward to a roast chicken soon, so I can make soup stock.

I made cookies last night, from my favourite recipe, my maternal great grandmother's.

It I will share, because everyone needs a good standby cookie.

Gaggi's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Preheat Oven to 375F

1 bag Chocolate Chips
1 Egg
1/2 C Butter
1/2 C Brown Sugar
1/2 C White Sugar
1 t Vanilla
1 C Flour
1/2 t Salt
1/2 t Baking Soda

Bake at 375F 8-10 minutes
Makes approx 4 dozen

Use parchment paper instead of cooking spray, as they do spread quite a bit on their own. Spray (or Waffle-off as it is known in my family) makes them spread too much.

It makes thin slightly chewy cookies. They should be golden brown on the edges, leave to cool for a few minutes on the pan before transferring to the cooling rack.
