To throw myself down a mountain. Part 1.

I made it to Jackson Hole, Wy in one piece. No one hijacked the plane, so I was happy. Our luggage even made it, even though we barely made our connection in Fort Worth, TX. My uncle Alan, and his friend, John, were waiting for us at the airport. Grabed out bags, and went to the car.

It was COLD. About 12 degrees, I think.

So, we stopped and ate pizza at Mile High Pizza Pie, and drove on in to the Teton Club, in Teton Village. The Teton Club is a really nice place, and it's thanks to my uncle that we get to stay here. He owns about two weeks of stay time here. We didn't do anything else, so I just chatted on the computer.

This morning I actually woke up at 8am. O.=.o Due, in part, becase I didn't sleep well last night. We ate breakfast and hung around the room most of the morning, because it was too freaking cold to ski. Around lunch, I went down to the rental office, and got my ski gear. Then, I found out just how much I remembered abour skiing......

Actually, I did pretty good, considering it has been a year. Started out on the green slopes with no problem. After a few runs, Christopher and me went down the blue slope off Aupre Vous ( X.=.X spelling escapes me). Then, I got into some trouble. Lots of fresh powder+steep hill=speed, lots of it. I fell about three times. First time was because I turned up hill to much while slowing down......ended up falling down the hill backwards. The second spill happened when my ski hung in a snow drift during a turn. That nearly landed me on my face, but my chest got the worst. The last fall was going down a particular steep section. I was zigzagging to keep from getting to fast, but it wasn't working. I was still going to fast. I kept making my turns longer, but the trail was too narrow. My ski hung on the big snow drift on the edge of the trail and sent me sliding down the mountain, face first, for thirty feet. That was a wild ride.

As you probably guessed, I have issues with snow drifts. XD

And here are some pictures.
