Poem - i fell

[the_downtrodden]

i fell
and everything went dark

and for a while
i only fell

then, i found meaning
i knew my purpose
i was the center of the universe
i was everything
contained inside a drop
i was infinity, in your hands
ultimate enlightenment
i was nirvana, attained
past, future, and present
in one and none
everything and nothing
everywhere and nowhere
i was that which men
prayed and studied for
that which they worked for
and that which they died for
i was everything i could be
nothing was beyond me

but

i never fell
i never was

i was the tear
you never shed
