Poem- center of the universe

[the_downtrodden]

there are some
who would have you believe
that the center of the universe
is a mountain in china

perhaps these souls
however devout in their ways
have never felt the sunshine
of their child's warm smile

or felt the bearing strength
of their child clutching a finger
or the peace and contention
of a sleeping soul upon their breast

there are some
who know so much better
the center of all the worlds
lays not under our feet
or in the skys above
it is found in the twinkle
of your child's smiling eyes
