I know this has been asked before, but...

Does anyone know the official release date for Labour? I looked on the computer at Borders and it just said "July"... but it's July now, so I wondered if anyone's got a date or if I'll just have to keep checking back all month.

Hm, I'm wondering what the status of the book is now that Laura Albert has been outed and it's been irrevocably admitted that there is no JT LeRoy. I bet the publisher has shelved it entirely.

I received an email from Amazon just this morning:

Dear Amazon.com Customer,

As someone who has purchased books by J. T. LeRoy, you might like to know that Labour will be released soon. You can pre-order your copy at a savings of 37% by following the link below.

And the link says it will be released July 15th.

I was wondering if it would ever be released. I would rather like to read it.

I have to admit that I do too, in spite of everything. It'll be different, reading it and knowing it's not written by the guy I thought wrote the other books, but the fact remains that they were still great books.

Latest I've heard is it's been pushed back to the 31st. I shall keep my fingers crossed...
