Yup, felt it was time to update this. Now that I feel I have something to update with.
Been extremely busy studying lately, as usual avoiding social situations, but learning a lot! The past month, most of my time has been spent studying the art and craft of lutherie, or guitar building. Something that really inspires me. I started with what colleges/apprenticeships are out there. I've reached the point where I'm beginning to study the different frequencies and the resonance of soundboards. There are some great photos here <
[link] I've been really inspired by both Ervin Somogyi, one of the greatest luthier's alive today, and Blueberry Guitars. [Some of the beautiful guitars I've found:

[link] I know where I want to go with this. I want to combine my love for woodcarving and guitars and make something beautiful. I'm continuing to work on my hand tools to improve my abilities, I finished the prototype for a 'ball in cage' today, and tomorrow I'll begin work on the real deal. Next, there are some really cool wooden dagger designs I've run across.
Still working on my leather working. Made a sheath for my new knife, all that in needed is final trimming and a string to attach the lower portion to my leg and it'll be finished. I picked up a small hand drill and drilled a small hole in the tip of a horn I have, looks and works great as a clasping bead.
Oh yes, and I'm doing NaNoWriMo this year. Again. Now, the essay I had for my class got in my way, so I'm now over 15,000 words behind. But, I currently have 11,000 words. Last year I finished with 3k (too much thinking about plot, not enough writing.)
The last ten days of Nov. I have no class. So, I'm going to use the time I have to catch up. Extremely happy with my novel! Absolutely astounding, most of it is dreams and hallucinations. A lot of fun working those scenes.
So yeah, still not very social. But making great progress in my other choices.
Quick breakdown of a possible scenario of my life starts with next quarter taking a four credit wood working class on Mondays. Next year: apprenticing [either Ervin who offers apprenticeship or someone in Olympia]. Getting a masters in teaching, continue building on the side. Get a teaching job in Film/theatre/woodworking/lutherie at Evergreen. Yeah. Awesome.
Oh, and been breaking down. last night I was up past 4:30, anxiety was my cuddle buddy and stress our blanket. Up at 6:30. Yeah. cool.
My only hope is that I can last until this weekend. I should be able to, but apparently I'm now ushering tomorrow and the night after for Rope. Ack, too much happening!!!
