Arrrgh I got a cold. I want to be over it already. I've been drinking orange juice and coldbusters and I want to just blast it out of my system. I got stuff to do.
When I was in school getting a cold was an annoyance but not that huge of a deal...but at work it seems like I'm saying "Hangonaminute....I need to blow my nose..." every few minutes. It is also very awkward when I'm dealing with customers and I feel like I need to sneeze or my nose is about to run.
I took some Dayquil and it did.not.work. My nose was still a faucet and I was coughing like it was 1899. Aaand I can't call in sick without a doctor's note. Fun times. I feel like I should dip my hands and face in a bucket of Purrell every few minutes.
Anyway, today I went to Genghis Grill. (American Mongolian stir-fry that you put the ingredients in yourself). My bowl turned out pretty decent...though I felt I might have gone a bit crazy with curry powder + garlic powder. I've never been there before. I can't help but think that it's a little surreal (I'm not sure if that's the right word I'm going for...funny-ironic?...in a Arrested Development/30 Rock sense) because they're using a warlord/real life historical figure as a cute caricature. In this place, Genghis Khan is a cartoon in a chef hat who recommends you try the "Khantinis". Yeah...surreal.
I saw "The Book of Eli" with Arthur. I had my issues with it but overall it was a decent movie. Note to self: In post-apocalyptic future, disguise yourself as a man so you don't get traded around like currency. ...I wonder if testosterone pills could make ones voice lower? Hey, if it's about survival and not being used as currency I would do what I could.
