“Cas, wait,” Dean says as Castiel opens the Impala door. “I can’t let you do this,” he says, looking over the mess of a man that Castiel has become.

‘I can’t let you sabotage your chances,’  he thinks, as he quickly instructs Castiel how to improve his appearance. ‘You deserve better,’  he thinks, as he watches Castiel leave… to meet his date.

‘You deserve better… than me.’
