I ordered a bunch of Alanis Morissette cd's off of Amazon the other day and got a few them the day before yesterday. I got around to listening to Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie. I wasn't too impressed with it, btw. It's alright. But I'm listening to her song, "unsent" which is about letters written to former lovers, which I assume will not be sent, hence the name of the song. She goes through about 3 different people, describing how they and their relationship affected her life and then the very last guy she sings about is this:
Dear Lou, we learned so much. I realize we won't be able to talk for some time and I understand that as I do you. The long distance thing was the hardest and we did as well as we could. We were together during a very tumultuous time in our lives. I will always have your back and always be curious about you, your career and your whereabouts.
So that was a pleasant trip down memory lane on the way home the other night. I love when you find songs that say exactly what you want to say.
Nothing really going on: counting down to my vacation next week and my dr's appt on Friday to find out what kind of abnormal cervical cells I have. Everyone tells me that I shouldn't worry right now, and I'm not really worried. Ok, maybe just a little. But like Ross said I just keep repeating "Everything is going to be fine." The power of the mind, is a wondrous thing.
