Finally, we have something to dig into... Yep, I'm looking at you Raphael. ^=^ One heck of a brotherly conversation. Did I sensed a little jealousy there, Raph? :*

Whoever said that Air were supposed to be dry obviously haven't met Our Archangel. Well, he does care for his brothers, after all. If only you actually be a little more passionate... I would be all over you... ^_^

Ok, enough kidding. I am a little too excited to finally something emotional about Raphael. I mean he's worry, he scare... that's is more than enough for a guy that scream logic all the time.

You know, I thought that Raphael, back when they were fighting Lucifer (God bless his soul, wait, does Angel even have a soul? ^_^), he had reacted a little strange toward Lucifer. I mean the logical thing to do is to call for Michael, and hope that with 3 against 1 they could have had a chance to win. But back then I merely brushed it off and assumed that he just lost it, even the sanest person lose it sometimes. But now, after hearing him confirmed it, that he was hurt, or something near that level of emotional display, now that just mind-numbing. He isn't devoid of all emotion. They are just too vague to see. He's Air for crying out loud! (^^^)

Well, I have been stalking ur blog from 6 am... I'm not kidding, I wake up early to read this chapter. It's worth it! And only one chapter to Raphael's interlude. High expectation for the impassive guy.

So you are on holiday break? Figured as much! >.<

Raphael is bitter right now, sore that he lost to Lucifer and that Gabriel had to save his life. He's frustrated that he can't do anything aside from sit around and heal, because of how badly hurt he was. He's also really upset that he still has a big chunk of Gabriel's grace inside of him, keeping him alive.

At the same time, he is grateful that he is still alive and that when he needed Gabriel most, Gabriel was there for him. The twins never trust each other the way other angels trust their partners. Raphael knew that Gabriel could just have easily walked away and let him die in the desert, but he didn't.

You're right, Raphael losing it and charging at Lucifer was a bit uncharacteristic for him, but it WAS 2 on 1, so they already had the advantage... but if you also look back at that fight, Lucifer was intentionally needling Raphael to get him to react. He was pressing all the buttons that would drive his little brother crazy because LUCIFER knew that if Michael joined in (and he would), then Lucifer would lose 3 on 1. He had to take at least one of them out before Michael showed up (Michael would need to get a vessel, so he had a few minutes): Of the two of them, Gabriel was very likely to not pick a side. Raphael was the one who would absolutely join Michael, so Lucifer had to get Raphael out of the way. He MADE Raphael angry enough to attack him.

The next Interlude is actually Gabriel's Interlude. Raphael's Interlude won't show up until December. I post chapters Sunday night before I go to bed (I had to use up my vacation time, so I took every Monday off for the rest of the year!), Wednesday around 7 am EST (but not this week because it's a holiday), and Friday around 7 am EST (but not this week because it's a holiday!). Gabriel's Interlude will go up some point on Thursday, but probably in the evening because I will be out of town and my travel laptop isn't very good.

Fun Fact: In the original draft of this chapter, Raphael and Gabriel actually hugged. I kept that scene in a separate file. Maybe I'll post it at the end of the story.

Keke, so Lucifer knows all of Raphael' buttons to push. In a way that kinda touching, seriously, he either had paid dearly attention to Raph, or he had some kind of superpower to read ppl. Previously I did not give it much thought, but now I think that eventhough Gabe is still his favorite, and I assume that Lucifer was occupied with the youngest archangel during most of Gabe's time as a fledgling to really give Raph's much of it, (There was always Michael, but the guy were busy looking after Lucifer. ^_^ ), so he probably doesn't possess many knowledge about his second youngest brother. Well, big whoop, he does! Hum, I wonder is there a scene between them? It would be nice to see Lucifer one more time, eventhough he would possibly be a memory.

Just have to reread this chapter one more time before moving on to the next. ;) It's just that good!!!

Sammael has a scene in Gabriel's Interlude, but that will be the last we see of him.

He did pay attention to Raphael too, even though you're right, Gabriel was his favorite. For thousands of years, though, there were only four angels alive. They had nothing else to do BUT pay attention to each other!

There isn't a scene written directly between Sammael and Raphael, but I'm sure scenes did happen.
