VEHICLE HATE.

So on my latest trip home, the day I arrived my car died as i was getting onto an on-ramp for 40. The following day and a thousand dollars later, my car is again running, but I was pretty devastated because I thought that with that added expense, I wouldn't be able to have my car paid off in time for school to start in August. Did my finances today, and as long as I do minimal spending, I should come out with nothing but my monthly bills of car insurance and my cell phone if I continue to work here until the end of July.. Hopefully I will be able to find a job quickfast though since I won't have anything in my savings to keep me afloat in the interim.

Fifteen more weeks until my projected move-home date, which will be broken up pretty solidly by vacations.. Going to Jamaica in early May with the family here for about a week (all expenses paid, very excited) and then in July they have a big family trip planned which I'm assuming they'll keep me on for and since they've never not paid me even when I'm not working that'll be nice to play with.. may go to NY to see Daddy or possibly go visit Britt and Pruitt who will be working up there for the summer. Worst case scenario is they find someone to start right after they get back from their vacation and I lose a few weeks pay, so I'm crossing my fingers against that. Oy. Getting nervous just thinking about it.

Regardless, I'll be starting school in the Fall and that's what really matters. Mamas work will pay for 94% of it, plus I got approved for up to a $1300 Pell grant plus the possibility of a $750 academic competitiveness grant, so.. woo! No more watching after children (hopefully, because who knows what I may have to resort to if I can't find a regular job), no more moving away and no more wasting time spinning my wheels. Fifteen weeks, man. Can't wait.
