Ack, I have a cold. I hate that feeling like some pesky little pixie has come and stuffed cotton wool in your ears, and it's a chore to even watch TV because you can't concentrate. And we have a 9am lecture tomorrow, whoopdeedoo! Well, at least I had a fab weekend. Paul came up on Friday night, and he went home this afternoon. Now panto has finished he can stay until Sunday, which makes Saturdays much more enjoyable as we don't have to rush around and work to a time limit. We got up stupidly late, just pootled around town and found The Best Shop In The World (Paul's anniversary present will totally be coming from there), did some work, went round the corner to the Tea House for dinner, and then stayed in and watched films. This morning we again got up stupidly late, had a shampoo-fight in the shower, and then watched the end of Red Dragon before eating and then going to the train station. It was really great to see him more relaxed, last week at panto was fab, but he is always so busy and stressed, and has so much on his mind, and I'm running around doing jobs, so we never really get much of a chance to just spend time together. It was nice to see him again, and I am looking forward to him coming up next weekend too ^^ We couldn't be bothered to move the mattress onto the floor like we normally do to give ourselves a bit more room, but for some reason we actually did really well in the single bed this weekend - we both got sleep! (or I least I was sleeping last night until nextdoor started playing questionable music at 5:50am. On a Sunday morning for Pete's sake, what were they still doing up?!? Anyways, I don't know what we did differently but we both slept reasonably well!
Work is going okay I guess, although I don't really want to talk about it too much! *denial denial* Work on my third dissertation chapter has begun, and I am aiming to have it done before Paul comes up again next weekend, which will leave me then just one chapter to do, and my intro and conclusion to write, and I want to re-draft one of my other completed chapters. Have over 5000 words so far, so it's not so bad I guess. I'll be glad to be shot of the damn thing. Roll on the Easter holidays... And if Chris Eyre thinks he is going to get an essay out of me he can get lost, at least for the next few days!
Paul recorded the two shows of Panto on the Saturday, and he is putting them on DVD this week, so I should be able to watch it next weekend - and hopefully get some screencaps to show all you lovely people. It'll be the first video in the seven years I've been involved that I will have seen - hopefully I will never see the ones which I was in, though I would like to see Snow White just for Paul singing, and my last show *sobs* Well, I actually really like working behind the scenes now, there's so much more involved, and it means Paul can teach me loads of stuff, as he started doing this year. Unfortunately this means whenever I go to the theatre, or watch a concert on TV, or go to a club, I start looking at the lights and try to name them. At least Paul is proud! ><;;
Righteo, I'm off to finish my prawn crackers from last night and watch the rest of my programme - I have given up on work for the evening as those pixies have been in again, shoving even more wool in there. Joy. *pokes ears*
paul,
