Whew, what a weekend. Slept like a log last night, but I can't stop yawning anyway!
So - Late Egyptian on Friday went really well. At least I think it did, you can never really tell waht the examiners will think. Especially when one of them is Chris Eyre. The only bad part was starting to need the loo very badly about an hour in when I had only just started the second question, and knowing I was going to have sit there for at least another hour and a half. Of course, I could have gone out to the loo, but I don't like to get distracted when I'm on a train of though in an exam. So I sat it out ><;; Then Hannah gave us death by chocolate, and I hit the shower and started cleaning my room in preparation for Paulio arriving in the evening.
I went down to meet him at the station, and as he didn't know I was going to do that, it was a nice surprise for him. Or, at least I think it was. When he does that to me, my face instantly lights up and I can't stop grinning. He didn't see me until he was about to walk past me, and then he just had a confused look on his face when he did spot me! I laughed at him, and he gave me hugs. Silly thing. I told him off for not looking happier to see me ^^ We walked back up the hill, and he told me he had been thinking more about ways to propose to me. Now nobody panic, there will be no wedding bells for at least 5/6 years yet, but we do discuss it a lot, especially since 3 of my friends from school are now engaged, and my other cousin has just got engaged, and I'm being a bridesmaid for Jess this July, and there is just generally a lot of mariage stuff around at the minute! He will never tell me the ideas of course, because things like that I would undoubtedly remember and it would spoil it when the time comes. He says the best ideas are when he's not actually trying to think of them, they just pop into his head. It is at least nice to know he's not scared by any of this stuff!
Laura fed us extremely well as always, and the pudding was absolutely incredible. We watched Aladdin, and after the others went round to Laura's we watched the end of it, then I replayed my favourite bits (eg. When Jafar has been turned into a genie and has dragged Iago into the lamp, the argument that they have - "Oh SHUT UP, you moron!" "Don't tell me to shut up!") Then we watched some TV and then Star Wars Episode III - and we mocked it. A lot.
Saturday we went into town (returning early because of an extremely painful IBS attack on my part) where I bought a new mouse for my computer *strokes Percy*, and decided what new phone I am going to get at the end of the month. We came back and ate, were very very silly, and then I took him to the station so he could catch his train home. I then returned to the flat and spent the rest of the evening continuing to preen my music folder and then watching lots of Sex and the City. All in all, I've had a really really great weekend. I don't hink I've ever had such a laugh when Paul has come up to visit. We were just in hysterics the whole time. He's so fantastic, and I am now feeling stupidly excited about moving in with him next year (Sept 07) and working towards my and our futures. I just can't wait to get to the end of this degree and then start getting my life in order!
Rite, now I guess I should read through my essay again and write up the bibliography. Oooh, and I need to email Mark, and do some more translation work for my dissertation. I think I will bung a DVD on and settle down to work ^^
