Fuck you for being an unashamed bureaucracy and not offering online VISA payment. Seriously, who doesn't accept VISA? LAME.

Whatever their reasoning, it's a big "fuck you" to students.

Classes start on Monday. Registration hold (old late fee from beginning of Fall Semester) wasn't lifted today after online check payment, so I called accounts and asked them when I could expect the hold off my registration. I was like, I need to register for my class NOW, put some go-juice in your pants, cheese-eater. The guy was like, "should be good to go in, oh 10-21 days." *battle gong, fury eyes* What, do they engrave it in stone and send it via carrier pigeon?

It boils my nuts when I have to fucking show up in person and throw a sweaty wad of cash at a stone-age organization that can't handle something as simple as a VISA CARD.

I've payed for this degree with blood, sweat and tears for a decade. I've gone from arrogant child to neurotic parent, nomad to homeowner, unemployed bum to salaried pro, boyfriend to fiance to ex-fiance to boyfriend to husband. Neurotic freak-show to suicidal wreck to over-medicated psychiatric slave-child. I had friendships bloom, die, and grow into memories, went through multiple relationships, changed from CompSci to English to CompSci.

I'm ready to close this chapter of my life. But it seems like every administrator in the organization just wants to check boxes on forms, get students off of the phone or deleted from their inbox. I'm sick of this shit.

yeah, that's pretty much how i rolled for the last four years...cash only..they also REALLY lose checks frequently or just choose not to process them for whatever reason. If for some reason you ever need to talk to someone in graduate studies about payment and holds I now know a very helpful man there who is awesome and really worked his butt off to get my stuff figured out...but undergrad payments are hell. There are 1000 other students just like you who put it off till now and are pissed off at them and they have to deal with every single one and try to "help" every single one while still doing their normal jobs on top of it.
i've been in your situation before though, the best thing to do is just try to remain patient and keep asking for supervisors until you get to someone who can help you.
