EDIT: COMMENTS ARE CLOSED - Response entry now posted. Big thanks to everyone who asked awesome questions for my entry!
As some of you may have figured out, I am a music professor (...at least, that's what I do currently). I mostly teach theory and technology, and have done so for well over a decade now.
Since music is obvs my "wheelhouse," then, I'm going to be writing a Q&A this week-- you ask the questions, and I try to answer them.
Simply ask me any question about music whatsoever in the (screened) comments here. I will then post a second entry sometime over the weekend, attempting to answer 5-7 of your questions.
(If you want your question "asked" / restated anonymously in the finished result, then just tell me in the screened comment... not a problem.)
No question is too "dumb" or basic.
As this is LJI and I will not be receiving student evaluations after the fact, I fully reserve the right to provide any / all of my answers in a half-serious, half-completely-insane format.
Also, I will state upfront that, as is the case with asking any so-called "expert," you might end up with a response that is totally and utterly crap. But if it *is* crap... well, *that* part won't be on purpose.
Thanks in advance for your help... please post early and post often! (Yes, you can post as many separate questions as you like, although I may not be able to answer them all.)
