For the record - that was a spoiller to me. I don't mind tooo much, but it's the sort of thing I would regard as spoillery and would appreciate being behind a cut.
I like the IDEA of companions falling for the Doctor (and visa versa) - I like it quite a lot, actually. I just really don't like the way it's been handled. I just didn't *see* it with Rose, and after the last season, it's getting a bit silly. I mean, I imagine most people travelling with a Doctor that looked like DT or PD or PM would have their eye turned a bit, but there's a difference between that and falling in LOVE. Doctor/Grace worked for me. John Smith/Nurse-whose-name-escapes-me-right-now worked excedingly well (and I really wish she'd become a companion). But I have to admit that one of the reasons I'm looking forward to Donna as a companion is that it seems pretty clear that it's Just Not Happening There. Sexual tension is not created by simply telling us there is some.
Is Ten/Georgia squick...? Not sure. I'd have thought it would be pretty weird for her, at least. I mean, they used to call him Daddy-Doctor - how can she say 'Doctor' without thinking of her father a little bit?
I'm sorry sweetheart, that Bit of news is all over the place, I'm honestly surprised that you hadn't heard.
I do sometimes get a bit wound-up with some Spoiler-phobes esp when it comes to things like, 'Actor X has got an unknown part in an episode we know nothing about.' Which is then met with: "OMFG, I so Didn't know that, now my whole enjoyment has been ruined because of you bitch, Use a F*cking Cut next time!!! So Rude." *Flounce*
I know that's not you, but I do tend to get all *Eyeroll* when I see comments like that.
Don't worry any other post that has anything more will be cut. :)
Yes, It's completely understandable that shareing the amazing adventure with this incredible man would make you got a little Swoony, even, dare I say it, over Six *Shudders*. But thats such a long way from, I-love-you-and-will-never-never-leave-you-because-our-love-is-true-and-forever-OTP!!!!11!! There goes the formatting :D
Eight/Grace was great and John Smith/Joan Redfern completely believable, as is John's not falling for Martha (Sorry M but you know it's true.) I can See Donna as being a bit Tegan-ish, spiky, independent and not afraid to tell the Doctor where it's at, He need that right now. Sexual tension is a very delicate creature, telling us it's there doesn't make it real.
Ten/Georgia when you say it like that it doesn't sound bad. Eep. Georgia's a good looking girl, DT's ok, they'll probably look good together, but No. I'm not sure she'll be able to fully ignore 'Daddys' involvement, esp as His will most likely be the first congrats card on the mantle.
Thanks for you input and sorry again for spoiling you.
However much you may have seen it around, it's still worth being careful. I'm a stickler for spillers most of the time. Sometimes I stick my head in for Who anyway, but I like to have teh option, you know?
I think Martha and the Doctor would have worked - it made more sense to me than Rose, but at the end of teh season when Jack was all with the love as opposed to the lust too, that was a bit... ugh. Yeah. If they're not going to do it well they really need to give us a break.
Yeah I realise that now, and as I said above any more news of this nature will be carefully tucked away.
Still friends? :|
Martha and The doctor would have been interesting to start with, but then she did start getting a bit emo about it and I was all, sweeties, you're a smart early 20's med student, not a silly teenager, you can do better. *Hugs Martha*
