New Job? New Job. New Job? New Job!
So, that contract that I got to do some web work on the side? They'd like to hire me full time. Before they've even seen anything. Crazy!
Unfortunately, they're not offering a salary that's any better than what I'm getting now. They said that they'd look to see if they could increase it and get back to me. I have a number in my head and if they say that number or more, I say "yes!" on the spot. If they go half-way there, then I'll think on it.
The working conditions would be somewhat similar to what I have now (not quite as good but good enough) but the job would be sooooo much more interesting.
I should also get an interview soon about that other job I applied to inside the University. If the other place hits the magic number, I'm not waiting. If they don't, then they'll need to take a number. *g*
If I get the job within the University, great! (It's two salary grades above my current one so it should hit my magic number too!) If I don't (or the other place throws money at me), I'm going with this new offer. Either way, feels like change is in the air!
On another subject. It's been a month since I started the new diet and I've lost 15 pounds so far. Not too shabby. At first I did exercise too but I've sort of given up and am just eating low-cal currently. I know I should get back to it but I like the way this is going currently and I'm lazy. We'll see.
