So, apparently there's some sort of sporting event this evening so our downtown is being mutilated to prepare for it. We drove past the circle on Saturday and it was almost entirely closed and now it is totally closed off (as it has been since yesterday) for the pre-game concert this afternoon. Not much to say today. We've spent most of the day getting a HUGE mailing out. The JazzFest party went pretty well. The food was great but I couldn't eat most if it due to lots of raw onion everywhere but I did have a bunch of Proscuitto-wrapped cantelope which made me very happy. OK, last night we went to Birdy's for the ANC party. Wow! did that suck. They told us that it would start at 7 but it didn't really start until about 8 and then the music was atrocious. Ok, first things first: I'm employed!!!

I officially start on the company payroll on Monday the 27th. I will finally have insurance and while I still will not be earning what I should, I will be making enough to get the bills paid and hopefully, stash a little away in savings each week so that I can get us a decent computer.

Well, it's official. Our trip to Chicago is cancelled. However, I think we're still seeing the show at the Alley tonight. Anyway, this means we can see the benefit show at Birdy's on Saturday night.
