Oh, the icon has never been more appropriate than this week. I've been processing the March Financial reports for the chapters and they have been an unbelievable mess. I had one chapter that has over 30 checks that are unaccounted for because they have not ever logged the checks that were written, just the ones that cleared the bank that month. This is a recurring theme in several chapters but it still doesn't make up for the fact that there are checks out there that are unlogged (some of them are over a year old). Needless to say, my tolerance for crap is mighty low.
As for what's been going on this week, Tuesday evening was the Publishing meeting at church and I got drafted do some QC checks for our sermon CDs. What this means is that I have to listen to 5 sermon CDs by Sunday morning in order to make sure there are no mechanical problems and just the audio levels that need to be adjusted. Luckily, Pastor Pooky is a great orator and I really enjoy listening to him speak. I am glad that I was able to find someone to master the CDs for us, though. I guess I have something worthwhile to contribute to the group so I'm happy.
Last night was pretty dull. Just watched some TV and made dinner. Tonight will be pretty much the same.
beldar was invited to go to the media preview of a
new exhibit at the Indiana Historical Society and I was going to get to go along as well but my boss told me that I couldn't make up the time if I took it. Since we are unable to take that sort of financial hit (and we're only talking about 2 hours here), I have to skip the exhibit. Oh well, I guess I'll live.
Oh yeah, before I forget it, Here's this week's riddle:
Near or far or in between
The birthplace of all birthdays.
A cardinal not of the church.
Might be due, though no one pays.
Pick the right petal of a rose,
To orient your seeking gaze.
Don't forget to go to the
Cloud Kingdom Riddle Page for official guesses and to rate or comment on it.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot:

I was advised to go waste my time by killing someone. Hmmm .....
