Once I Had a Secret Love ...
Well, we went to see the play that i_meister's currently appearing in and it was really wonderful. It was technical/final dress rehersal and we were the only audience members but it felt like they were glad to have the opportunity to work with audience reactions. The show's great. I'd like to great big welcoming hug to _falnfenix_ for joining the readership. He's offered some help with our car replacement issues so I'm thrilled to have him around.
Also last night was the monthly launch party for the new issue of Indy Men's Magazine. I so love this publication. It's available free around the city but you can subscribe for just $12.00 a year. While this may sound stupid on the surface, all subscribers get to go to the monthly launch parties and are guarenteed at least one drink and some sort of food provided by one of the advertisers. Besides more than getting your money's worth on the food & drinks, you get to check out new businesses and restaurants while schmoozing around with some very interesting people. We've gotten to know most of the staff very well (they never ask us our names when we arrive and we always have conversations with at least one or two of them at each party). I didn't realize that they actually valued my presence until I was mentioned as one of the regular party goers that they would be very upset to have no longer attend (check out the last letter in the October Letter's to the Editor feature). Aww!
I got the ears attached to the crown last night and my sleeve sewed up so I just have to dye my hair tonight and look for the wig once more and then I'm set.
