Just a really quick update today. I still haven't finished getting caught up on all of my friend's posts but at least I am up to ones from today.
A couple of friends updates. First of all, welcome
moderndayviking. He friended me as a result of
murnkay's discussion post. He's a pretty interesting guy(who actually jousts) so check him out if you're so inclined. Secondly,
vidicon is running a poll on human nature
here. Vote if you're so inclined. Lastly,
rollick is sort of polling for the
most hated fictional character. I think Barney, Scrappy Doo, The Smurfs and Jar-Jar are running a close race. Let her know what you think. I had a great one but it fell out of my head before I could type the post. I'll try and remember and post later.
Tonight is the Green Day concert. If I didn't need to eat anything, I could just walk the block and a half from my work to the show but alas, I have no desire to possibly have a siesure and miss one minute of the show. Especially after all we went through to go. Ah, the saga of the tickets shall now be told. Thursday we realised that we needed to find the tickets for the show. We actually had expected to be mostly unpacked by now and therefore wouldn't need any sort of major searching for them. Well, we looked Friday night in the box we were sure they were in and no tickets. I then looked Saturday morning and we tore the house apart most all of Saturday afternoon and still no tickets. Saturday night I had a dream that we did find the tickets but they were in the very last box we looked in. Sunday, we got up very early and tore the house apart again. We had given up when
beldar decided to look in the spare closet. He found a hidden box of breakables that we didn't know was there and sure enough, the tickets were in there. Much rejoicing!.
I have also decided that our new apartment is eating my shoes. My pair of black flip-flops went missing yesterday. I searched all over for them (I just wore them on Thursday) and couldn't find them anywhere. Then this morning, I looked for my black loafers (which I had come across twice yesterday in the pursuit if the flip-flops which are still missing) and they are also nowhere to be found. This is most annoying.
I have so much more to say (updates on the two plays we saw this weekend, recounting of our 9/11 ceremony, politics and just some other stuff) but I'll try to get it done tomorrow. Also, expect a report on the show.
TTFN!
