I've Got a Ticket So Ride With Me ...

So, this weekend was a roller coaster. Saturday was pretty good but there were a lot of errands to be run & then we went to see an outdoor performance of "Hamlet". The show was really great. The setting was wonderful and while the language of the play remained the same, they updated the time period to modern times and the lead character was played by a female. The changes were wonderful, especially the setting. All of the King's guards were Secret Service Agents who patrolled the grounds in service to the King. I was really impressed by everyone's acting and was most thankful that the weather was rather mild so that I was able to sit through the show.

On Sunday, we got up early and went to a Toy & Comic show. It was very small but not too bad for the size. While we had to leave prior to the main costume contest, we did manage to see the children's division. It was delightful. The kids were adorable and the costumes, while greatly varied were rather impressive. I'm honestly glad I was not a judge. They really earned their keep for those decisions. I have some great pictures and I will try to post them soon.

After the show, we grabbed a quick bite and rushed off to The Phoenix to see their current production, "Miles and Ellie". But that's so much of a thing that it'll be the topic of my next post.

Hope your weekend's were good.
