Work's been a little bit more pleasant the past two days. Things are going pretty well and I'm getting more settled into the routine. I'm picking up things a lot faster and doing a lot better with them now. Which is good because they're stuck with me for the next 6 weeks or so because T goes in for surgery on Monday and she'll be out for at least that long.

In other news I'm still kinda sick. I've been staying at home a lot and taking it easy as much as possible and I'm mostly over this crap but it just keeps hanging on. Hopefully it'll be gone soon so I can get around to fully enjoying the holidays and the wonderful flavors that they bring.

Speaking of which, now that we have Jack-in-the-Box, we have access to pumpkin & eggnog milkshakes (happy dance!). This is in addition to the Carmel Apple shakes at Steak n Shake. Plus, we found out that Burger King now has Gingerbread shakes and they are the bomb! I really can't tell you how much I love these flavors.

I also like the easy access to eggnog because it makes it so much easier to make french toast. All you need to do is add a little cinnamon to it and you've got french toast batter. Seriously, it's just that easy and it tastes wonderful too.

Well, I'm really looking forward to this weekend. I plan to take it easy & do a few errands on Saturday. Then Sunday we are working at church & seeing a show.

Sunday's also Veteran's Day so that means that beldar will be getting a whole bunch of freebies on that day as well as on Monday. Unfortunately, we won't be doing the free dinner at Golden Corral again this year. I really hate that because we really love sharing the table with other veterans. That's actually my favorite part. Especially a few years ago when we shared with one of the Tuskegee Airmen.
