Update on yesterday's post on New TV shows. Watched "Detroit 1-8-7" and was totally pwoned. That show rocks so much I expect it to be canceled immediately (quality TV just doesn't stay on the air anymore). "The Whole Truth" & "The Defenders" are both good but again, will likely not last. Shame, because a Defenders/CSI crossover would be awesome. One can only hope for such a thing to come true.

"$@*! My Dad Says" is just okay. However, the "why can't anyone do a good impression of me" line rocked my world.

On the good news front, I got a call from an employment agency and have an interview Monday for a great position that would be absolutely perfect for me. Hopefully, all will go well. I also have a meeting on Wednesday with an area college to see if they can secure me some financial aide so I could go back to school and get the degree that seems to be my biggest hurdle against getting a job. So, things are looking up all around.

Last night I went to the announcement party for The Heartland Film Festival. It was nice and they seem to have some really great films lined up. Especially, the opening night show, "Snowmen" & the special Family show "Nativity!" (note, click on the titles to see their trailers). I really hate that we won't get to see that last one but hopefully we'll get a chance to see it sometime. I do know that we will likely see the Lt. Dan Band film. I wish that beldar didn't have to work on Friday, October 15th because I heard a rumor that Gary Sinise will likely be in town that day promoting the film (actually, all of the award winning films will be showcased that day and are supposed to have some sort of representative there from each). If you're in the area, you should really try to check out at least one of these films. They're each pretty impressive in their own rights.

So, that's it for now. I hope you all have a great weekend. I will talk to you again soon.

TTFN!
