We have a new phone system at work. While it's a bit annoying overall, it does have quite a few advantages so I'm not really going to criticize it yet. Of course, the main reason I say that is because I'm not part of it yet. The phone they gave me is the wrong extension and they haven't told me when they can get the correct extension put in.
The main problem is, while I have two different phones at my desk that I can use to make calls, neither of them can accept a call. Therefore, if you try to call me at work, you won't get through. Luckily, I don't get many calls in the first place but it's still annoying especially in cases of emergency.
Oh crap, my phone just rang and I'm getting calls that are for the call center. Hopefully, this will accelerate fixing the problem.
Beyond that, work's going okay. The bitch is still here but again yesterday, she didn't do a lick of work. How she gets away with this shit is still beyond me.
I turned in my Christmas wish list for beldar's family today. I really only want one thing and said I wouldn't mind everyone pitching in on it. It's something we really need. Still, I'm hoping to get some small thing from each of the kids who are old enough to pick out things on their own. Silly stuff like that is often the best present you could ask for. Mainly because it shows that they are thinking of you and they have always picked out wonderful things in the past.
I really hate that we aren't going to be able to get down there this year. Especially with the new baby and all but hopefully we will be able to work out getting down there next year. If nothing else, we'll just start saving and get down there one way or another.
This means that we'll be up here for Christmas. So, if anyone out there would like to come over and help us celebrate, please let us know. I love to cook and entertain and would be more than happy to have any of you be part of our celebration. I know this is early but I'll put up a reminder closer to the actual time.
