(no subject)
Well, yesterday was an adventure. When I got home from work, beldar was running late and I broke the lock on the front door. It seems that you can turn the lock twice (sort of double lock it) but if you do this it jams the bolt and it won't go back. After beldar got there he ended up having to take the whole lock off to get it fixed. I also found out from this that I don't have a working key to the back doors so at least something good came of things.
Anyways, after that adventure, we all piled in the car (astria took a bus to our place so he's along for the ride now) and went to the hospital so I could get a finger stick to test my Coumadin levels. Well, after waiting forever the girl told me she didn't do finger sticks and wanted to draw blood. I am still covered with huge bruises from my stay in the hospital (for those of you who haven't seen me, this is NOT an exaggeration) and my veins are shot so I didn't let her take blood. I have to call the clinic at lunch to figure out how to get this testing done now.
After leaving there we went downtown to the Fever game. We missed out pastor's free-throw competition (but I suspect that Melody beat out Pooky) and found out that our seats were in a better section this time but much scarier to get to (the view down was frightening). Still, I made it down and we had a lot of fun watching the game. It ended in a tie and we were all hungry and tired so we left during overtime (they lost which is really bad because the other team was pathetic).
We somehow continued our now tradition of celebrating astria's birthday with a Fever game and pizza by heading out to Datsa Pizza where they split a pizza and I got a calzone (they allow you to specify the ingredients and don't put tomato sauce in it so it's lower in sodium and therefore allowable in my diet. Dinner was yummy and since it was late, we took astria home and then went home and crashed ourselves.
This morning when I was leaving the house, I was the witness to firefly sex on my neighbor's chair on the porch. I'd never seen it before and it was quite fascinating. Now I can add fireflies to the "seen your penis" list.
As for work, I'm working AP (rather than my usual AR) at work because my AR is caught up and AP is very behind. I will still be on AP probably all day today as well.
So, weekend plans are still the same. "bare:The Musical" tonight, X-Files movie followed by Whoosier picnic tomorrow and "A Very Merry Unauthorized Scientology Pageant" on Sunday.
