Well, I had planned on posting on Saturday but the library was closed for the Holiday weekend. So this is my first opportunity to do so since Friday. I hope everyone had a great weekend. I certainly did.
Friday night
beldar had to work late so when he finally got home we went to Cici's (cheap pizza) for dinner and ran a few errands. Saturday we did the necessary grocery shopping (I got a bunch of sauces for free or almost free due to sales & coupons) then went home and watched some TV. I think we've seen all of the season finales of everything but "House", "Reaper" & "Supernatural" (which we'll see sometime this week, I'm sure). I made a pot of chili for dinner and we just had a nice day with each other.
Sunday was also great. After we finished up at church, we went to Broad Ripple to spend some time with
friendstephen. I got to play with Tux & Sarah Jane for a bit and then we walked around the Ripple and had a really nice time. We took him over to Holliday park after a while because he'd never been there. It was nice being able to show him new things (even though he's lived here his entire life and we've only been around for almost 7 years). We did manage to catch a few snippets of the end of the race. I really wish they had let Danica get all the way down to the other driver's pit because I really would have liked to have seen her clean his clock.
On Monday we got up early and went to Lane Bryant because they were having the mother of all sales and I really could use some more nice clothes especially since I'm trying to get a job. I bought a bunch of great blouses (they were all buy-one-get-one-free) and got an equal amount of money back in "Real Women Dollars" to use to buy anything in the store in the next few weeks. So I'm going to end up getting at least $500.00 worth of clothes for $150.00. Not bad really.
After shopping we went home and met up with
friendstephen and then went over to
anjala's house for a cookout/party. It was great. We met a lot of wonderful people (including my new friend
cassiejo who I'm really glad to have aboard). We had amazing food and watched "NCIS" & "Spaceballs" and played a great Karaoke game (which I sucked at because my voice was totally gone by that time). I'm really glad that I have such wonderful friends to spend time with. I honestly can't think of any better way to spend my days than with then.
Today I had an interview with Job Corps which are going to work to get me employed. I have a three day seminar that starts tomorrow that I have to attend but I think it will help me get some stuff done and maybe this way I can get a job that sticks (my last one would have if my boss hadn't changed). This also means that I probably won't be on the internets tomorrow until late if at all.
Still, getting employed is my priority now. SO that's what I've go to focus on.
I hope that everyone out there had a great weekend. I miss you all and hope to talk more with you soon.
TTFN!
