Well, last night's meeting with the financial planner went very well. He's got us a plan to get our credit cards payed off even sooner (one by the end of summer) and got one of our rates dropped. I'm really excited about this. It's looking like we will be totally out of our current financial straights by the end of next year and will be able to get a house and take a week's vacation to New York as we've been wanting sometime in 2010. Yeah!
We did recommend him to some of our friends (
astria,
crysthewolf and
friendstephen). Mainly because he doesn't charge anything to you (if he signs you up for anything such as investments or a change in insurance, etc. then he gets a commission). He's not a high-pressure kind of guy and he's really nice. We've met with him several times and he hasn't made a penny off of us but he's still working with us. If anyone in the Indy area would like a reference, let me know. I'll be glad to pass your info along.
Beyond that, not much else. The weather here is still psychotic. When I went to bed my feet were so cold that I almost had to put socks on and then I woke up in the middle of the night on fire and had to turn on the air conditioner to be able to get back to sleep. Of course it didn't help that since it was 2am when I woke up I had that damned Golden Earring song stuck in my head.
I'm trying to take off of work early today because there's big doins in Greenfield this evening. There's an open house by the Kid's Play folks and then the kickoff of a digital film festival. Should be interesting to say the least.
Oh yeah, I signed up for an account on NHL.com mainly because nobody had posted yet on A.J.'s blog and all of the other celebs had several comments. Now I am being barraged by friending invites and such. It's kind of nice. I really hope that the Penguins keep their performances up they really could win it all this year.
Speaking of hockey, Notre Dame is in the finals of the Frozen Four this weekend. If it's possible, I'm going to try to catch the game. I really hope they blow Boston College off the ice.
I guess that's really all I've got for now. I will probably post again later.
TTFN!
