I am so tired. I need a weekend to recover from my weekend. Still, I had a great weekend.
Friday evening we went out for all-you-can-eat corned beef and cabbage at a local pub and then headed up north to see the concert. It turned out that only friendstephen showed and the place was so crowded we left and headed over to Cheeseburger in Paradise for Chocolate nachos. We had a good time hanging out and decided that since he was going to the gun & knife show at the fairgrounds the next day, we would get together and carpool there since we were hitting the garden show at the same place.
Before all that though, beldar got my car tag renewed. We have a temporary tag now because I want the new Lincoln tag and they only sent them out to a few locations so ours will be mailed to us.
Once friendstephen came over we ran over to Papa Roux for some yummy lunch. It was really nice. Then we headed over to the fairgrounds. I've gotta say, the home and garden show was great. I really had a good time. We got to try out sleep number beds, taste all sorts of nummy foods and got some wonderful ideas. Now I understand why people go out to it each year. Oh yeah, while we were at the Tut exhibit they had two busts of Alexander the great. Each one had a tag in front of it that read, "Alexander the Great Head". Needless to say, much giggling ensued.
After we finished with the fairgrounds and went back home, we spent the rest of the night cleaning and preparing for the CoC game on Sunday. We also watched the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony and it was really great. I'm very glad we got to see it. Of course, during the show we saw the following freaky-ass commercial:
Also, while I was preparing for the game, I ended up having to change scenarios because the one I originally chose, "Cleanup on Aisle Four", turned out to have ME as an actually character in it. I have to email the writer and figure out how he knows me but it was rather disconcerting to find oneself in a scenario.
Anyway, Sunday's game went very well. We ended up mutilating and hospitalizing astria's character (which was okay since he had to cut out early for another game). He did end up with the nickname of "Dances with Badgers". We also traumatized friendstephen's character due to having to surf amputee porn and having the above mutilation happen in his room then falling on the character. Since he was feeling a little off, he ended up leaving early as well (his character was still sleeping off the drunk from trying to get all of that out of his mind). The rest of the band did finally kill the evil creatures and save the day (although they almost died trying). Still, everyone had a pretty good time it seemed.
Today we had our St. Patrick's Day pitch-in and it went really well. We have tons of food here and will probably be eating off of it for a couple of days or so.
