When I Say Pariee is Gay ...

Busy day. Not much happening.

Last night's Oasis went very well. We studied the story of Lot and the various interpretations of the sins of Sodom (we still can't find any sins mentioned for the destruction of Gomorrah except proximity). Everyone was shocked when I told them that I was never taught that Sodom was destroyed because of homosexuality. In fact, it wasn't until recently that that interpretation was even presented to me. I had just been taught that they were bad and killed because of it. No explanation of exactly what made them bad was ever laid out for me (it's not laid out in the Bible either so I'm okay with this).

They were further shocked when I admitted that I had never been told by any religious leader that homosexuality was a sin of any kind. I'm sure that most (if not all) of the various churches I attended believed this but they never bothered to tell me.

I have always known that homosexuality is something you are born with. You can develop homosexual desires due to occurrences and traumas in your life but that is not the only cause.

As for me, I remember having crushes on and desires for women far before I had them for men. I still feel that way somewhat. I can greatly appreciate a woman's beauty more than a man's attractiveness. I prefer seeing nude females. I am more turned on by men who are in clothing that I find sexy than having them be nude.

Needless to say, last night was interesting.

I don't think we have anything to do the next few evenings so they'll likely be spent watching tv at home. Besides, beldar is working on a special section this week so he'll be home late each night anyway.

We will probably have some sort of theater this weekend and we managed to get passed to the Garden show so we'll check that out on Saturday. I'm really excited about this because they're having a King Tut exhibition this weekend and since I missed the one in Chicago, I really wanted to see this one.

So that's it for me. I'll post tomorrow about the TV shows we watched.
