Ok, I have some things I forgot to put in the previous posting.
First of all, I wanted to mention that at some point this coming weekend we will be going to see "Doubt" at IRT. I have wanted to see this play since I first heard about it on Broadway. I was really surprised that IRT got ahold of it rather than The Phoenix. This sort of thing skews more to their audience. However, I was just thrilled that someone was producing it. Now, for the icing on the cake, there was an article in Friday's paper about the show and the production is starring Lenny Von Dohlen! While I know that this may not mean much to most of you but this was Moles from "Electric Dreams"! I loved that movie and he was great in it. I am so thrilled. Needless to say, I am looking forward to the show so much more.
Speaking of the paper, something really weird happened in it this weekend. When I was looking through it on Sunday, I noticed that almost half of the sections were totally identical to the ones in Saturday's paper. I pulled Saturday's paper out of the recycling to confirm this and it was true. So, I called up the Star to ask them what the deal was. They did admit that they had done this and claimed that there were computer problems that made them have to do it. Personally, I would have omitted the duplicated copy, but then they've never been known for their sense of quality or scruples. Just one more thing to hate about the daily rag.
I tried a new flavor of tea over the weekend. It was Eggnogg'n by Bigelow Teas. OMG! was it amazing. It really does have a light eggnog flavor. However, it's not too rich and it's quite delightful. I would have tried this flavor prior to now (especially since it has penguins on the box) but nobody up here carried it. I only got to try it because we managed to pick some up while we were in Little Rock over the Holidays. I will definitely be trying to get someone to carry it next year though.
Oh yeah, we had coupons so we went to Dunkin Donuts to get free donuts with the purchase of coffee and in my opinion, their coffee sucks. It's too strong and rough. I stopped counting after 7 sweeteners and still it never tasted decent. It honestly made the crap at Starbucks seem tasty. I also noticed the donut prices are outrageous. Actually, if it weren't for the fact that they have wonderful hash browns, I'd probably go ahead and say we'd never go there again. Still, I doubt we go to one unless we're desperate.
Crap! I almost forgot. There was a tie on LJ Idol. There's a quickie runoff vote here between sideshowbennie & darkwolf69. If you woudln't mind voting for sideshowbennie, I'd appreciate it (of course, he'll appreciate it more). Thanks!
