First of all, I need to welcome my new readers, spooky_lemur, davidkevin, serendipityhq & mythdude. I'm glad to have you all here.

Secondly, I have all sorts of news to share. This week is going to be a pretty busy one. Tomorrow is the "Pay-what-you-can" showing of the Phoenix Theater's new show, "Stuff Happens". This is supposed to be a rollicking political satire of the current administration. It should be a lot of fun so if anyone out there is able to go see it, you should. All it costs you is a donation of a canned good or money for The Damien Center (and Lord knows, they need all the help they can get) and a little bit of your time. For that you get the payoff of seeing a fantastic live production. How great a bargain is that?

This week also begins the Irvington Halloween Celebration. Tonight they are showing "Bride of Frankenstein" at the Library (tomorrow is "The Mummy"). Thursday night is storytelling in the park with John Luther portraying Edgar Allen Poe. We caught this guy's show last year and it was amazing. We are so looking forward to seeing him again this year.

Friday night it seems that since all of the local schools were eliminated from the playoffs in the first round, beldar is getting a rare Friday night off. Therefore, we are going to The Vogue with astria to see Here Come The Mummies. It's their annual Halloween show and it is all sorts of wonderful If anyone else out there wants to tag along, we'd love to see you there. However, you should buy your tickets early as it WILL sell out.

Then of course, Saturday is the big Festival day in Irvington. They shut down a couple of blocks worth of the street and have a parade, contests, activities and other wonderful stuff for all (email me and I can forward you a detailed schedule). Everyone who's planning on going is welcome to come by our place to park and drop off any stuff before going over to the festivities. Most things are done by 5 so we can all meet back at our place and regroup before heading out to the Whoosier Network Halloween party that night (or whatever other plans you may have).

So, it's a very busy week. I'm really looking forward to it.

TTFN!

welcome, bands, party, links, halloween
