OK, quick weekend update post. My knee was acting up quite a bit on Saturday so we didn't make PPD (actually, I pretty much totally forgot about it). We did wander over to the Lady of Lourdes Fest for a bit. It was okay but not overwhelming. Of course, they did name their food tent "The Holy Grill" and we saw the "hug a nun, kiss a priest" procession. They do have a good sense of humor about themselves.
Sunday was spent resting up and finishing laundry. We also went to a concert at one of the local churches to see Nordic fiddler,
Julane Lund. She was amazing as well as her fiddle. She plays the traditional fiddle as well as the
hardanger fiddle which is double strung and sounds very like bagpiping. It was a fantastic show.
Watched all of the new TV shows we'd recorded. I really don't care for "The Bionic Woman". I wasn't a fan of the original series and I don't see this one being any better. We were right that "Big Shots" is an American version of "Manchild". I liked it but I doubt it will make it and it in not a high priority on my viewing list so I will probably only watch it sporadically. Shows we loved were: "Reaper" and "Moonlight". All of the old shows are looking good as well (hey, "Numb3rs" is still on the air). I do think that Peter MacNichol looks wonderful with his scruffy beard. I hope he gets to keep it.
Not much else happened over the weekend. I guess that is all. BTW, watch for news on our upcoming trek to Chicago later in the month. I will talk to you again soon.
TTFN!
