(no subject)
Well, last night's showing of "Altar Boyz" was great. The show is a huge parody of boy bands and the commercialization of Christianity but not offensive or anti-religious. The title comes from the name of the band and they are all nice Catholic boys (except for the Jewish guy). They show takes place during their final stop on their tour and they use a special device to determine how many sinners are in the audience and won't stop until that number is down to zero (relax, the show only runs about 90 minutes). Like the typical boy band, they have the cute one, they gay one, the moody one, the "exhausted" one (who's just come out of rehab for his "exhaustion") and the criminal one (who's also a Jew). The guys making up the band are great, the songs are very catchy and it's really a fun show all around. I highly recommend it.
Of course, the show was even better because __kat__ manged to come out and see it with us. It is so nice to have friends (especially ones that we can go do stuff with).
I don't know about you but this change in the weather has really got me excited. It feels like fall and this year I intend to enjoy it as much as possible. I missed out on a lot of fun stuff last year because we were moving during this period. Last Saturday when I went into Kroger I smelled cooking pumpkin and the whole thing was set off. Now I just can't get enough of the smell (or taste) of pumpkin and apples and cinnamon, etc. I'm going to make beldar haul the Halloween decorations up out of the basement today so that I can spend the next couple of days decorating.
I just wish it wasn't so damned cold at work. I need something to keep my fingers warm. They feel like they're about to freeze off every day. Any suggestions you might have would be greatly welcome.
