(no subject)
Well, I survived the weekend and this week (thus far). My mammogram went well this morning. Everything's fine. Nothing's changed since last time. The dentist appointment yesterday was quite another matter. I managed to get the worst tooth taken care of. I got a root canal and a filling but I still have another tooth that needs a filling and I am going to need another dentist to do it. This guy is good but he's utterly outrageous. They refused to file the insurance and now I have to fight with them to get that paid to me. They have no payment plans whatsoever and refuse to do fillings - only crowns (at almost $1,000.00 apiece - after insurance) and they feel I need 6 of those. You know, if we could have found a dentist that cared more about teeth than money over a decade ago, I wouldn't be so screwed now. Oh well, I guess those days are totally gone.
Anyway, the weekend went well. The show at B&B wasn't too bad. The Oscars were pretty good. Although most of the montages were unnecessary and Ellen's outfits were horrible. I beat beldar in our yearly contest. I had 15 right to his 14.
Speaking of awards shows, we taped the Independent Spirit Awards and they were really great. I scoured youtube for footage of the Best Picture songs but for some reason nobody has posted them. If they do, I'll make sure to include a link. The one for "Pan's Labyrinth" was great.
Well, I guess that's about it for me. I'll update alter if possible. Otherwise, look for my next LJ Idol entry later today or tomorrow (the topic is really weird this week).
