(no subject)
I'd like to say a bright good morning to everyone. I'd also like to mention that today is scottbateman's birthday. If you aren't familiar with him (and you should be), he's a wonderful artist and person and you really should hop over to his journal and wish him a wonderful day. I went over there a minute ago and left him a birthday wish and as I was typing it, my boss walked in. Without even thinking I said, "I love you" and then realized what I had said. We both had a good laugh over it (I do love my job but I'm not that close to my coworkers). Anyway, that's pretty much showing me what kind of day today will be for me.
Speaking on the comic front, I adored today's Wally and Osborne. It reminded me of the assbrush joke and I really enjoyed the pics. The artist is selling originals and if anyone wanted to surprise me with them, I prefer set #2.
I'd also like to send out a warm welcome to new friends fibro_witch and littleoracle. I imagine with the exposure of LJ Idol, I'll probably be making some more new friends in the coming weeks.
Update on life: last night I got a lot of cleaning done in the dining room. Hopefully, I can get a bit more done tonight after Oasis and then finish it up on Thursday night. The place is really starting to shape up pretty well. I'm really excited.
This morning I was listening to Jim Gaffigan on the radio and one of his comments just broke me up. He was talking about not being a vegetarian (I'd be one but meat is pretty tasty and the smell of roasted lamb is one of my all-time favorite scents). anyway, he said, "Animals - great to pet, better to chew". I'm thinking I should get this made up into a shirt.
Well, I guess that's about it for me today. I'll post more later if possible.
