(no subject)
Well, it looks like I'm buying a cake pan. Whoohoo! The Colts managed to somehow come from 18 points behind and pull a great victory out of their ass. We're buying some Super Bowl stuff and we are so having a party. I am hoping that there's a chance that I could get a couch in time for it (ladyofglass this weekend's a great time to see about coordinating a delivery if that's still a possibility). I am really stoked.
OK, now for an update. Friday night we ran errands and I relaxed and just watched some TV. Saturday we got up early and did laundry. It had been a while and we washed the bedding as well as all of our clothes. Afterwards, we went home and watched TV.
beldar did try to get the flat tire fixed but couldn't get the lug nuts loose so we're going to have to call roadside assistance to get the thing off (although I think he might try seeing if he can get it semi-inflated with fix-a-flat and hobble it to a station). We would have called on Sunday but we got over 3 inches of snow (finally, snow) overnight so we didn't want to detract from real emergencies. We did make it to church on Sunday morning and then afterwards ran to the store to get a few necessities and then came home to snuggle up on the lust and watch some more TV (we really didn't have much time to watch during the week and needed to clear off the DVR). We skipped watching the playoff games themselves because our teams tend to do better when we don't actually watch them. We did check up on them periodically.
When we went to bed last night, the Colts had come back to tie up the game and I really didn't want to stay up and get my heart broken with a possible loss so we went to bed on an up note. This morning it was hard to turn on the TV because I was really not wanting to hear bad news but when we did we heard about the win and all was well with the world.
I'm really looking forward to the game. I'm really hoping that I can have a nice party too. BTW, everyone here is invited to come. I will cook up a storm. I have the next day off work and love to entertain so I really hope several of you can make it.
Speaking of fun and parties and good times, etc. I noticed in the paper that the Music Mill (non-smoking musical venue) is going to have an evening with Deep Blue Sea on March the 24th. I know we're going and hopefully, ladyofglass and several others of you will be there too. I love their music and if you don't know who they are, here's a homemade video of one of their songs to help you.
Now for less fun stuff, the glands under the right hand side of my throat are swollen and sore today so it looks like I will likely be pretty sick near the end of the week or so (I'll be perfectly healthy for SuperBowl even if it kills me). Also, there's a lot more snow on the way this week so if I miss a day's post it's probably because I missed work that day. Otherwise, everything's going great.
