Sorry I didn't update yesterday. Time just got away from me. Anyway, here's what's been happening lately:
Tuesday night we went to see the touring production of "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee". It was great. They had the lobby and the theater all made up for the event with championship banners and inspirational posters, etc. We just missed the cutoff to try and be one of the four audience members who get to be part of the show. That was a really exciting innovation. The show was really fun and if anyone out there gets a chance to see it, you really should. It's a really fun time.
Last night we went to see "Callie's Tally" at The Phoenix. This was less spectacular. The story was OK but they had slides as part of the show and the font they used was too small to read on most of them so a lot of the jokes and information was lost. Overall, I was greatly underwhelmed.
Due to
beldar's work schedule for the next two days, I won't get to see him until late tonight and not at all on Friday night (until he gets home from work around 2:30ish - if I'm awake). There's a local production of "Death and the Maiden" going on that I'm thinking about attending on Friday night (I could go tonight but I need to get some stuff off the DVR so I'll do it tomorrow). If anyone's interested in going, let me know. The show is free for anyone who attends (their contract won't allow them to charge for tickets but they are asking for donations). Anyway, it's a great script and one I'd love to be in. However, it is dark and gritty so be prepared. Still, it should be a great show.
Well, I guess that's about it for me for now. More later if possible.
