Angers was cool.  I've hardly spoken any English this weekend, even though my French still sucks a big one.  I spent most of the afternoon walking around in a castle, the Chateau d'Angers, which is known for its tapestries of L'Apocolypse, or, the Revelations book of the bible.  They were huge and I must say pretty neat. Because it was raining and it's december, the chateau was nearly empty and I kept finding these little rooms and nooks which were so quiet and interesting.  At lunchtime Francois and I sat in his apartment listening to the Beatles and the Brian Jonestown Massacre and smoking cigarettes.  He was in the middle of an all day class/exam for CPR or something.  Bummer on a Saturday.  This morning while he was gone, and when I finally woke up, I went into town and bought a banana at the openmarket and then had the best cup of coffee I've had in France yet at the Xmas Bazar.  That was cool.  I really need a shower and for it to stop raining for a little while so I can have a nice, unrainy walk to Emily's.  The river that runs through Angers is called La Maine..I took a couple pictures of it, but my camera is breaking and turning the sky pink and everything stripey.
