Ok, I would have written this when I got home this morning, but...
FUCK!!!!
What is it about people I graduated with having car accidents and dying? Granted the first one was a pure accident, but the one yesterday could have easily been avoided if they weren't stupid enough to be drinking and driving!! There were 3 people in the car, 2 of which I had classes and graduated with, and one died. Only the driver was wearing his seat belt and recieved minor injuries. The other passenger suffered critical injuries. They were right by the driver's home, right by the turn off of the main road onto his neighborhood road. The car went airborne (somehow), summersaulted end over front in the air, and smashed into a utility pole, throwing the girl who died from the car. All this happened around 3 yesterday morning. And I saw an emergency crew cleaning it up (hopefully not tending to the people that late) at 6:15 on my way to work. I wondered what the hell was going on; I saw 2 distinct light bars and I could have gone over to see, but I had to turn right to go to work and the accident was to the left of me. I was over at Heather's last night when we learned about these people's accident, but it wasn't until this morning when my mom called me around 11 that I learned where it happened. My reaction was one of "Holy Shit! That's what that was!!" When Heather heard last night, she was broken. She went to school with the girl who died since 4th grade. And one of the things that really gets me is the fact that our graduating class already has 2 less people for any type of reunion, and we only graduated 2 years ago!
