I made TWO posts in 2007...what the fuck? Two posts in an entire year and they were both pictures of dogs...hm, it looks like I made nineteen posts in 2006, which is also a pretty small amount. But still, two posts seems pretty insane, considering I pretty much check my friends list three times a day to see what my friends have to say. I guess I feel like not enough goes on in my life to really say much about it! I don't really know.
For most of 2007 I lived in a shitty, moldy apartment in Auburn and I unfortunately worked a pretty lame job at Game Crazy. It still boggles my mind to think back to that horrible retail job where I made EIGHT dollars an hour. I work half as much now, with minimal stress, and I make eleven dollars an hour, and it was SO EASY to get the job. For those who don't know, I work at a small office building. We scan documents and upload the scanned files onto an FTP or website for our various customers. Beyond leaving Game Crazy and getting my new job at Imagenet, not much else happened.
Visited my family and friends in Orange County back in August and then went to Penny Arcade Expo as soon as I came back up here. Had a great time at PAX and greatly anticipate going back, hopefully with a few more people this year. Frank and I also moved into our amazing new condo in Kent pretty much directly after PAX was over. This place is so much cleaner and in a much better location, plus we have a sexy gaming/home theater setup in the living room.
Also can't forget Kenzi's and my two year anniversary in March. I can't believe our three year is coming up so soon, especially since it still amazes me everyday that we have such a great relationship. <3
Other than all that, this year has ended very nicely with Christmas. I didn't get much at all but it felt more than good enough to give my gifts to everyone. I spent nearly $800, if you count the airfare I purchased to go see my mom, which is probably the most I've spent on Christmas. It has definitely set me back, though! I mean, I owe Frank for two months of 'rent,' technically three now, and, although I can just barely afford that, I think my one true New Years resolution will be to save a lot more money this year than I have in the past. Something like half of my total pay every month will go into my savings, and I have a feeling I might be driving very soon because of that!
So...I'm sure there was plenty more I could have mentioned but I'm not the best at this journal writing thing, especially since its been so long, and I'm also balls tired. Its time for bed, and in the future I'll try to write more. Here's to another year of being alive, healthy, and independent.
2007,
new year
